AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): Is there any such instance specially in a civilized and democratic country where a serious patient is compelled to leave from govt. run hospital complex without minimum treatment? And the patient was a 25 years house wife who rushed that govt. hospital with her brother to get treatment. The patient went with serious head injury and blood was dropping from her mouth. After moving from emergency to NEW OPD and OLD OPD, the house wife compelled to leave hospital complex after moving here and there that takes minimum 1.30 minutes.

The unprecedented, painful event happened in the so called famous referral hospital AGMC,GVPH on 19th June 2015.It was almost 12 noon.

The house wife was straightway gone to emergency along her 23 years brother .Brother narrated detailed to the attending emergency doctors. Bleeding was constantly coming inside of her mouth.
There were 5 doctors attending emergency patients. All the 5 doctors asked them to go to the old building of OPD. Brother who completed B.Tech (E.E) degree, a Bosconian frequently requested the doctors to start primary treatment immediately. But alas all went in vain. Seeing no hope of his sister’s treatment in emergency they bound to move old OPD which is still in the old building. After 20 minutes they got the ticket .The attending staffs then advised them to go to the new building of OPD counter. Helpless brother with her ailing sister started walking for new OPD.
There they got another lession.3 so active sisters were busy in gossiping. After 10 minutes one sister noted something in the register and asked helpless brother and sister to report in the surgical unit. By the time blood flow was so high that blood started dropping in the floor.
Surgical units was completely packed up with patients and doctors were busy with other patients’ treatment .Collapsible gate was closed. With folded hand they started requesting the gatekeeper to allow them so that they can go to doctor for treatment and advice. Gatekeeper went inside the ward and a doctor came out of the gate and asked whether she received treatment in the emergency or not.
Patient was not in a position for reply as she was crying continuously. Her brother replied saying "no sir she did not get any treatment till now even in emergency too."Hearing the reply, the doctor went into the ward. After 15 minutes they compelled to leave the much hype hospital AGMC without any treatment.
The house wife, who received head injury during her bath in their bathroom forced to leave AGMC complex with her brother. They came in the hospital with the hope of treatment for 2 hours. But what was the treatment? Treatment was confined moving from one OPD to another OPD, one counter to another counter for nearly 2hours without medicine, bandage, and advice.
When the educated house wife leaved the AGMC, GVPMH campus she was crying which was most painful and unbearable. Even the auto driver couldn’t stop his tear hearing the unexpected treatment served by the hospital.
Who will believe it? What will say Health Minister or Chief Minister in this regard? Will they conduct the inquiry? They can suspend doctors who were on duty in emergency. Why they could not relieve the pains and sufferings of that house wife?
Is it not called ‘violation of human right’? Is it not a ‘crime’ which they did with a patient? Will the so called pro-people-govt. never take action for these serious crimes?
It can be an eye opener. It can be an example of functioning of AGMC. How Tripura’s people getting excellent treatment from the AGMC and GVPMH? For reference we can provide registration number 110029/2015.It was issued from Room No 1 OPD.
