2 dead bodies recovered from Khowai forest, police in dark

KHOWAI, June 20 (TIWN): The crime rate has taken a toll here in the Left ruled Tripura and the so called, “Golden Era” has enhanced the commitment of crimes despite the so called ‘strict’ vigilance of the police. On yet another feather to the present status of the crime rate of the state at least two dead bodies has been recovered on Friday evening by the Khowai, Kolyanpur police.

The incident occurred on Friday evening at around 5:30 PM, after the Khowai Kolyanpur Police station police getting an alarm rushed to the Khowai Amarcolony jungle and recovered at least two dead bodies.

The two were identified as Rabi Barman, a resident of Kalyanpur and another was identified as Raju Paul, a resident of Khowai Laltila village.

However, according to the police no injury mark has been found on the two dead bodies. But, interestingly the police has so far failed to trace the reason behind their death.

It is worthy to mention here that this year till this month a total of 40 dead bodies has been recovered so far. The incident occurred on Friday has triggered a huge resentment among the locals of Khowai Amarcolony.

It is also to be mentioned here that the crimes across the rural Tripura are rising at an alarming rate whereas the police managed to announce that the crime rate in Tripura has decreased now.
