KAMALPUR, June 20 (TIWN): An incident of theft occurred in a medicine store namely M/S New Nag Medical Hall at the Netaji Corner, in the heart of the town.
The incident took place possibly after June 18 midnight. The proprietor of the store Rajib Nag demanded that an amount of 65, 000 rupees got stolen from his shop.
Friday morning when Rajib opened the store than he found the lock of the chest got broken and 65, 000 rupees missing. He also found a dig in the backward of the shop through which the thief probably entered the shop.
However, police was immediately informed and visiting the sight, police registered a case. But, all the concerned expressed suspicion over the actuality of the fact as now-a-days none dares to keep such a huge amount in shops.
Speculations got strong that Rajib might plan the theft himself to grab the amount of burglary insurance. Police told of conducting investigation keeping all the possibilities in mind.
