AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): The SBI Bank, Kunjaban Branch narrowly escaped after fire broke into it on June 17.
The incident happen at around 9 am in the morning when there were no officials in the building except the security guard on Wednesday.
Detailing about the incident, Deputy Manager Arun Kumar Kanti said that the fire broke due to the short circuit occurred at the electric board of the bank. The fire was first distinguished by the security guard of the bank.
The security guard then immediately called the fire service to control the fire, as the fire service was near to the bank the fire man immediately rushed in to the bank and managed to control the fire. Due to which the concern building has narrowly escaped from the devastating fire which could have broke out into the building.
This incident could have turned tragic if the security guard would not have observed it on time. It can also be said that if this kind of incident would have occurred during the office time than it may have lead to hue and cry.
The authority should have been alert about the safety and security of the bank. If the bank authority neglects the safety and security of public funds than what would we expect from the other departments of the state.
