UDAIPUR, June 14 (TIWN): With the initiatives, taken by Tripura Chess Boxing Association, for the first time chess-boxing competition and campaign has been started in the state. FromSunday morning various chess series and boxing series would be performed by various state players in chess, as well as in boxing from all the districts. The events are taking place in Ramesh H.S. School’s auditorium.

Although the main inauguration programme was held on June 13, but the real sports’ events started on Sunday morning. In the inauguration programme held on June 14, Ratan Bhowmik, Minisry of Tousism, Tripura Sports Dept.’s secretary Dulal Das, Chess Boxing Association’s president Mantu Das, Tripura Chess Association’s secretary Amit Poddar and President Narayan Banik remained present in this inauguration programme.

The performers from 4 districts: Khowai, Gomoti, west, Unkoti are participating and representing their own districts. This programme will be continued for 2 days.
