BELONIA, June 1 (TIWN): On the eve of unit raising day 49, 86 Bn BSF organized a blood donation camp at Gokul Nagar Campus on June 1.

Addressing the programme, Dr. Diptanu Pal discussed about the present necessity of blood donation. He also stated that Donating blood is an active way of helping others and the whole of society. Despite medical and technological advances, blood cannot be produced. The only way of getting hold of it is via blood donations from people who give blood. As the need for blood is constant, so is the need for donations.

During the programme, altogether 13units of blood were collected. All the unit officers, subordinate officers and other Ranks and families were present in the programme. Under the supervision of Dr. Diptanu Pal, Blood Bank of Tripura Medical College attended the camp.
