Honesty shows a right path: A rickshaw puller returns lost bag and Rs 9,220

AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): Society’s ray of hope still blinks when persons like Mithun Ghosh lives in this city. Ghosh is a rickshaw puller by profession from Moloynagar, Sahah Para on Friday returned Rs. 9,220 and a filled checkbook alongwith other necessary documents on Friday to Police.

Narrating the incident, Mithun said that he found the bag near to the Sale tax office at around 11:30 am in the morning. There after he visited the East Police Station to return the lost bag, said police sources. The Police officials spotted Ranjit Saha who lost his bag when he was on the way to the cooperative bank where he works. After he was informed about his found bag he came to the police station to collect it, further added by the officials.

Ranjit Saha, could not believe his luck when he found his bag along with his necessary items. He then checked about the items the bag contains, Rs. 9,220 and a filled checkbook along with credit cards, ATM and some official documents, confirmed sources.

Finding the bag in a right position, Ranjit awarded Rickshaw puller with Rs. 500 and appreciated for letting his honesty rule over greed and returning these items to the rightful owner, said sources. Mithun further said that before he could find the bag another rickshaw puller wanted to snatch the bag but he refused to give it and said that he would deposit  this to Police Station.
