KAMALPUR, MAY 27 (TIWN): In a twist in the Putiacharra NWDPRA project scam under Salema Agricultural subdivision, the CPIM party hit the road and gave deputation to the SA demanding stringent action against the culprits. It necessarily happened the day after the secret visit of Niranjan Chanda, the confidential assistant of the CM to have the pros and cons of the scam.

Since last fortnight, the scam of Putiacharra NWDPRA Project under Noagaon panchayat, Kamalpur became more debated as the direct mingling of some heavyweight party leaders was very much sure in the scam. This matter of involvement of party leaders was also informed to the CM. Probably for this, the confidential assistant to the CM, Niranjan Chanda made a secret visit to Kamalpur yesterday to have the pros and cons of the project. And most probably to brighten the party image, the Kamalpur Local Committee arranged a protest rally and deputation to the Superintendent of Agriculture demanding stringent action of the culprits.
