AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): An exhibition was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sarbandan Sonowal organized by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan on Tuesday. The theme selected for the exhibition was “Saal Ek, Shuruwaat Anek” highlighting the achievements and initiatives of the NDA Government in the last one year.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Mr. Sonowal rated his government's one-year performance as more than satisfactory, terming NDA's quick decision-making in the face of obstructionism as its biggest strength in this period. Sonowal said his government's initiatives in sectors such as power, coal and mining shows its intent to run a transparent model for reforms, which he said is important for a country which is not ready to accept slow decision making.

It is to be mentioned that the exhibitions are parts of the country wide campaign being organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to inform the public about the programmes and policies of the Union Government. As a part of this programme, DAVP organizes 60 static multimedia exhibitions into two phases. In the first phase all the state capitals are covered except Bengaluru from May 26 to June 1. Bengaluru will be covered in second phase starting from June 7-8 to June 13 respectively.

The exhibitions primarily cover the initiatives in the sectors focusing Farmers’ Welfare, Mainstreaming the Deprived, Ensuring Dignity of Labour, Our Daughters Our Pride, Financial Inclusion and Security, Government that Trusts the People, Transparent and Corruption-Free Government, Education and Skilling, Health Assurance to All, Leaving behind a better planet, Friendship on Equal Footing, Development of the North-East, Nagar-Shehar, Vikas ki Lehar, Power for All, Transportation for Transformation, Delivering Good Governance, Tej Gati, Arthik Pragati and Jobs for All.
