AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): Allegedly a group of Bangladeshi thieves manages to intrude in the Indian border at Brajabinodinipur village under Sidhai Police station at Mohanpur Sub division on Monday early morning.
Reportedly, on Monday early morning at around 3 AM, a group of Bangladeshi thieves intruded to the land of India by cutting the wire fence at Brajabinodinipur village. Taking the advantage of inattentiveness of the border guard, the group managed to steal a motorbike bearing number TR01K5388 from the household of Ratan Das and cattle (cow) from the house of Samaresh Pal.
Later, getting alarm, the BSF jawans of 195th battalion chased the group of thieves till the border wire fence but unfortunately they managed to flee away through the wire fence. However, sources said that, being were chased by the BSF jawans the Bangladeshis have left the stolen cattle and the motor bike in the Tea garden adjacent to the wire fence. Failing to arrest the thieves, the Jawans has ceased the motorbike and cow which was left by the thieves in the garden. Further, they deposited the stolen accessories to the concerned department of the check post and later after investigation the accessories were handed over to their respective owner.
The locals alleged that stealing of cattle’s across Tripura to Bangladesh has become an everyday issue. Despite the wire fencing across the border lane at Mohanpur sub-division has become the hub for transport of transporting the cattle’s.
However, the authority is further investigating the case.
