KAMALPUR, MAY 22 (TIWN): In a new twist about the tainted for anti-customer attitude Kamalpur branch of United Bank of India, fake currency notes started to be produced from ATM counter. The matter got lodged with the police already. However, the authority still remained reluctant and denounced to comment on the matter.

On wednesday night at 9.16 pm, some Swarnasindhu Shil of Fulchari entered the UBI ATM counter near Post Office. He came to book air tickets at adjacent Ramkrishna Enterprise and when he lacked of money, he withdrew some amount against his 6070658097014903 account number from the ATM. During payment it got revealed that a currency note of 500 INR bearing number SBF 292573 was fake. At once Swarnasindhu rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint with them. The UBI authority however remained reluctant and denounced to speak in the issue.

It is noteworthy that, other bank branches of the subdivision often allege the UBI branch of fake currency notes as they have to take money from the UBI kamalpur branch. The UBI branch here is the Chest Branch of RBI. Now, the existence of fake notes in RBI Chest Branch became a matter of concern here.
