AGARTALA, May 21 (TIWN): On the occasion of 24th death anniversary of Lt. Rajiv Gandhi, MLA Gopal Chandra Roy distributed 10 stitching machine to 5 Self Help Groups (SHG) on Wednesday at Lal Bahadur 9 no Banamalipur Congress booth office.

Sources say, MLA Gopal Chandra Roy utilizing the MLA fund, he himself handed over the stitching machine to the 5 SHG for the development of the society.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Gopal Chandra Roy stated he is overwhelmed to help the people of the society, and in the coming days he will always extend his hand for helping the people of the society. He also said that anytime he will provide any kind of financial help for development the society.

Apart from distributing the stitching machine, he also paid floral tribute to former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi on his 24th death anniversary.

However, along With MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, AMC Councilor Himani Debbarma along with other dignitaries remains present in the program.
