UDAIPUR, May 18 (TIWN): A 16 year old boy suffered serious injiries after he was dashed by a Bus at Rani Bridge area under Kakraban Police Station, hereon Monday.
According to sources, the boy identified as Indrajit Chakraborty son of Ajit Chakraborty resident of Bipin Palli while returning home from private tution was dashed by a bus bearing number TR03-C-1338 which was procedding towards Agartala from Rajnagar at Rani Bridge area under Kakraban Police Station.
As a result Indrajit Chakraborty suffered several injuries on his body. And he was immediately rushed to Kakraban Primary Health Center (PHC) from where he was referred to Gomati District Hospital where in the attending doctors said that the condition of Indrajit Chakraborty is critical. Later he was again referred to GBP hospital. After the incident the locals ransacked the bus. Tension is prevaling in the area.
After getting the information police personnel from Kakraban Police Station rushed to the spot and seized the vehicle. But the driver of the bus managed to flee away from the spot. Hunt is on to arrest the accused driver, said police.
A specific case has been registered in this regard and investigation is still on, police added.
According to official report, altogether 2581 road mishaps occurred in the last three financial years including 901 road accidents in the financial year 2012-13, 855 accidents in the year 2013-14 and 363 more road mishaps in the year 2014.
