AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): District Education Department (DED) has set to make the schedule of the recently transferred teachers of Khowai.
As per report, the officials of the concern department were already asked to submit a list regarding the present status of teachers in position. There are reports that some teachers have not yet joined the new schools. Therefore, the department wants to know about the current figures engaged in different schools after they are being transferred.
Teachers of all categories, who have been on duty in the same school for the last 15 years in Khowai district would be transferred very shortly, sources confirmed. The department has already completed transfer of teachers who were engaged in seven districts- West, North, South, Gomati, Dhalai and Sepahijala.The transfer procedure at Khowai delayed due to the elections process of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), added.
According to sources, to bring transparency at all level, the department has already started an exercise to prepare online database of teachers and their postings, said sources. Out of the total of 42,000 teachers, the department has been able to include 14,000 teachers in the online database and rest would be done within next few months.
“Once the database is ready to publish, one can easily find out the number of teachers of a particular school and duration of his or her engagement in that particular school. Accordingly, transfer and eve-distribution of teachers could be done without any major exercise”, said an official.
