Water scarcity at Bamutia health Center hits patient

KHOWAI, May 17 (TIWN): Drinking water scarcity at Bamutiya Sanitary Health Centre under Mohanpur Block for the last one month has hit the patients at large.

According to the sources, the pipe line of the hospital was mended 6months ago when the problem was first acknowledged and a complaint was also registered at the PWD office. Resentment brewed up among the Doctors and nurses when no response came from the concern officials. Among the doctors of the health centre, Dr. Priyanka Choudhury said that if the concern department does not take any step within next 48hours regarding the water scarcity at the hospital than she will resign from her post.

The scarcity of water has also lead to unhygienic atmosphere in the hospital. Doctors and nurses were bound to collect the rain water for the basic requirement of the hospitals and the patients. Facing the scarcity of water patient Sailesh Das, Bashanti Deb, Bikram Kar who was admitted at the hospital for their treatment, left without informing the hospital authority.

Doctors expressed that due to unavailability of water at the hospital they are unable to do the treatment of the patient.
