UDAIPUR, May 13 (TIWN): The National Highway (No-44) which runs Udaipur via Sabroom is in a pathetic condition from many years. But the authorities are having no liability for this. It reaches to its worst condition during the rainy seasons. The road (especially in Brahmhabari area) is used to go under the water after a slight rain.
There can be found many wholes within the road and as a result when the rain comes the chances of accidents increase. As it is a National Highway so it’s a 24 hours busy-road. PWD Department is silent over this issue.
Moreover it is to be mentioned that the condition of the roads in Udaipur is always of poor quality. After few days of constructions, done by the private contractors, the roads started to damage which is nothing a new topic. The other problems faced by the road are; bad riding quality, poor geometrics, and insufficient pavement thickness. Apart from being narrow they are also highly congested.
But to have large roads is still a dream for the people here. Here people are demanding for the reconstruction of this road but the authorities are giving a blind eye over this issue.
