AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): Expelled CPI-M leader Jiten Das and his brothers and nephew who were arrested on charge of involved with Jiten’s wife Kalpana Das murder case would be produced before the court on Friday. However, according to a highly placed source of police, the SIT team of this case is still in dark with the case as no major breakthrough could be achieved so far.The source informed that as of now police has got no forensic report that consists of finger prints and others. Besides, he also informed that the forensic report of the two recovered weapons has also not yet reached to the police.Asked about if police would submit any chargesheet before the court on Friday, the source said that no chargesheet would be submitted because police has not yet got any relevant clues in this murder case.Besides, “It cannot be said now whether another suspect Shibu Das would be arrested or not, but if police manages to gather evidences against her than she will be arrested.â€
However but it is to be mentioned here that though the investigating agency of the police is investigating the case and the interrogation process is in progress but some way or other the case is getting lost its color with thepolice still in dark.
Though it has been learnt that police so far had owned several strategy to make Jiten open his mouth, but several questions arises now as whether police would be able to crack down the case or would have to wash away their hand from the case under political pressure.
Earlier it was said that investigating agency had interrogated more than 15 people regarding the murder case of Kalpana Das. “Police is now eyeing forward to frame a stern charge sheet against accused husband Jiten Das in this case,” said source.
Prime accused and expelled CPI-M leader Jiten Das is currently grilled at Bishalgarh central jail.
However, on Friday all the four accused persons including the expelled CPI-M leader Jiten das would be produced before the court. Police would demand another judicial custody for Jiten, said source.
