AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): With the opposition congress ducked and relegating the open political organisation of the outlawed NLFT outfit IPFT and BJP to distant second position in the elections to the 28 seats of Tripura Tribal Areas and Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) 2015, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar on Wednesday after the counting of votes ended claimed, “The emergence of IPFT and BJP would be dangerous to state and its peace and tranquility.”

Congrulating the ADC voters and the media on Wednesday Dhar said that the victory of CPI-M and its Left front govt. is affirmative and the indigenous people of the state responded well to the developmental pace of the Left front govt. here in ADC areas.

Dhar said that this popular verdict is the rejection of the political elements who are trying to foment the situation in the state with sectarian demand of a so-called tribal state.

“This verdict is also a rebuff to the misinformation and scandalous campaign of a section of the anti-Left media against the party and its candidate,” Dhar said.

Dhar alleged, “Despite several conspiracy and malicious campaign against CPI-M and its Left front govt. by the opposition congress the Left party has registered a massive victory in all the 28 seats relegating IPFT and BJP to distant second position.”

Adding to that Dhar claimed, “CPI-M has got more than 54% votes this year which is 9% leas as compared to the previous year which was 63%.” But most interestingly asked about the reason Dhar avoiding the reason for 9% less vote said, “We will take a stock of the situation.”

Opposition parties like BJP got second position in five seats with 7.87% votes, INPT got second position in seven seats with 10.77% votes and IPFT got second positions in the ADC elections in 16 seats by 18.06% votes.

Dhar said, “Certainly the demand and the slogan of the IPFT for separate state and BJP’s fuel to ‘communal tension’ is worry for the country and specifically for the state.” Adding to that he said that but the forces of peace and tranquility here in Tripura is strong and has been reflected in this ADC poll.

Dhar alleged that BJP has unleashed a two-way attack in the country by adopting anti-people policies and fuelling communal tension in the country.

‘The people of the state gave their verdict against separatist forces of the state and rejected the call of separate state demand’, said Dhar.

Asked about who would be the new Chief Executive Member of the ADC, Dhar said this has not been finalized yet but the ADC would constitute its new council by May 10. Later Dhar claimed, “the ADC poll 2015 has ended peacefully.”

However but it is worthy to be mentioned here that IPFT’s 18.06% votes and a distant to the second position this year has of course issued the CPI-M and its Left front govt. which has swept the ADC poll 2015 by 34, 586 votes in all the 28 seats.
