Agartala, May 6 (TIWN): Heat waves starts spreading its effect to prevail in Tripura on the onset of summer season. During the last couple of days, people of the State are experiencing terrible heat. According to the authorities of the MET Department, temperature will continue to rise in the next coming days and heat wave will prevail across the state along with other parts of the country.

However, no sign of heavy rains had been indicated by the Meteorological Department also. The maximum temperature witnessed on the day is nearly about 35 degree Celsius which is 3 times high than the original one.

With the arrival of summer, , there seems to be a growing patronage among citizens for up market fruit juice stalls selling exotically named milk and fruit concoctions.

Many traders have set up classy fruit juice stalls for the season in affluent middle class neighborhoods. It is mostly the urban youth who patronise these `cool' fruit juice joints where they find it pleasurable to `chill-out' with friends at night. The availability of an assortment of fruit juices and milk shakes has come as an easy, though often expensive, way to beat the heat.

Every evening, there are long queues of vehicles parked outside the fruit juice outlets in the city. The preferred drink this season seems to be the so-called `ice-cream' milk shakes, which come in various psychedelic hues. With that the demand of cold drinks also prevails in the State.
