UDAIPUR, May 6 (TIWN): With the Left front emerged victorious to all the 28 seats of the Tripura Tribal Areas and Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) to which the elections were held, the poll counting result on Wednesday has brought the CPI-M defeated IPFT at Killa-Bagma constituency and Mirja-Kathalia-Rajapur Constituency.
With 6, 236 votes CPI-M candidate Joykishore Jamatia has defeated the IPFT relegating the IPFT to distant the second position in Killa-Bagma constituency, whereas with a total of 13, 667 vote CPI-M candidate Porikhit Murasing defeated the IPFT candidate Shukla Charan Noatia in Mirja-Kathalia-Rajapur Constituency.
IPFT candidate Krishnakanta Jamatia battled the CPI-M by a huge margin taking the party to stand in second position.
However, the counting of vote began on 8:00 AM at Udaipur Ramesh School along with the counting held at other areas of the state. But, the counting of votes of the two constituencies ended at 10:30 AM whereas on the other part the counting continued.
Talking to the Returning Officer, he informed that the counting was held peacefully with no untoward incidents anywhere at the constituency.
