KAILASHAHAR/AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): The problem of Chantail High School remained unsolved due to whimsical construction of the school building by Rural Development department. Sources said that Rs. 45.86 lakh was allotted to construct the two storied building with 8 rooms under RMSA Project at Chantail Madhyamik School.

The construction started on August 25, 2014 although the fund was allotted in 2011-12. The construction did not complete after completion of stipulated time.

Sources said that R.D. department constructed 4 rooms whimsically on ground floor although the school got allotment of 2 storied building with 8 rooms.

According to sources the construction work did not start after transfer of fund to R.D.department on June 26, 2013. At present the works are not being done according to plan due to hike in price of construction materials. Sources said that separate budget was allotted for construction of two classrooms, science lab, computer room, library cultural room, toilet and water tank.

The total budget for the construction was Rs. 45.86 lakh. But four rooms of same size are being constructed due to unknown reason. The R.D. department is not at all following the guide line provided by Union Human Resource Development Ministry. Besides the school authority is not supervising the construction.
