AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): 6000 polling staffs engaged by State Election Commission for the general election to Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) for 28 seats had exercised their franchise through postal ballot on at least 16 felicitation centres.
The postal ballot voting started from April 27 with the polling personnel ended casting their vote for the ADC. According to the State election department official, full pay leave for workers of non-government organizations has been announced for the ADC election.
The final result of the postal ballot voting would be known on May 6 after the ADC election result is declared.
however, to conduct a free, fair and peaceful ADC election, a total of 21 companies of armed Central Para-Military Force will be deployed in the polling stations, strong rooms and counting halls while a vast contingent of TSR jawans and police personnel would maintain the general law and order during the election, said official.
General election to Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTADC) for 28 seats has been announced to be held on 3rd May 2015 on Sunday.
