KHOWAI/AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Khowai cable operators are continuing illegal business by neglecting the rules and laws of Doordarshan and Government of India. Both the national channels have been corrupted technically by the cable operators to broadcast the other entertainment channels for their business.

According to sources, Doordarshan National Channel DD-1 and DD-2 are not available in Khowai due to the negligence of cable operators. And they are also not having any registration.

 Local people alleged that the cable operators have been broadcasting other channel by which they can earn more money from the common people. As a result the no signal broadcasting always found in the television screen for the both channels.

Surprisingly it may be noted that the Khowai district administration also in a silence on the issue. Several times local people informed the district administrative authority for restoration but nobody else to follow up the matter for the public interest, the locals alleged.
