AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Sarvabharatiya Sangeet –O- Sanskriti Parishad will organize 4 day long classical Vocal and tabla workshop will be organized by Tripura Unit under the guidance of Pandit Arun Kumar Bhadury, Gourab Chottopadhay and Partha Mukhopadhay at the premises of Red Cross society. Principal-In-Charge of Government Music College, Monika Das will inaugurate the workshop.

After that annual Convocation will be held on May 4^th at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan , where eminent Vocalist, Pandit Arun Kumar Bhaduri, Justice Subhasish Talapatra and eminent Child Litterateur, Bimalendra Chakraborty will remain present as Guest of Honour.  

It is to be mention that, in the year 1974 a few like-minded people started to think to set up a platform to propagate, foster and preserve traditional forms of Indian Art & Culture as they could perceive that these were being slowly wiped out by the apparent glanderous but dangerous inflow of westernized culture amongst the people of the Indian Society through all powerful Electronic Media.

This thinking took a shape and ultimately started to function in the name and style SARBABHARATIYA SANGEET -O- SANSKRITI PARISHAD (SSSP) since 23rd January 1976 from a rented house at Jadu Mitra Lane, Kolkata, subsequently shifted to Ramratan Basu Road, Kolkata. Late Pandit Sukhendu Goswami suggested the name. Since then, it started affiliating Training Centres in different parts of India where the student were being tutored in various streams of Indian Art and Culture.
