KAILASAHAR, April 29 (TIWN): Deprivation of REGA wages still continues in the State. After the tensed situation prevailing in Hezamara and other districts and subdivisions, being fed up by the false commitment of the Government, three workers of Kailsahar sub-division at last filed case against the respective authorities in MGNREGA scheme.

Sources informed that three workers of MNREGA, Nur Mia, Tabbir Ali and Kishore Lal Sukla filed three cases against Pradhan of Samarurpar Panchayat Arun Deb, Upa Pradhan, Panchayat Secretary Mafik Ali and Minar Ali, GRS Haradhan Deb, Ajit Malakar and payment agent of Cooperative Bank Alok Deb in allegation of cheating and misappropriation of government fund.

Referring the cases against cheating and misappropriation of Government funds the REGA workers said that they worked for 25, 30 and 35 days under the panchayat. But the number of working days showed 250 days, 300 days in the print out paper of internet.

Although they got wages for their working days, they raised question where are the wages of remaining days showed in the print out of the Internet. They suspected that at least 5 to 6 lakh rupees siphoned off by Pradhan and members by showing false work order at Samarur Par panchayat. It is mentionable that Samarurpar Panchayat was selected as model panchayat in 2010.

Even the ruling party deprived him from ticket of Panchayat and Zila Parishad. On the other hand Mafik Ali and Minar Ali have built up lot of assets which are not matching with their income.

Though, Tripura claims the top position for sixth consecutive time in MGNReGA scheme, but the inside picture reveals vice versa. The Government instead of thinking about the welfare of the people, busy in dirty politics and scams. At present from minister to CPI-M party workers remain deep necked in corruption. CPIM government over issues of spurious drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees during the agitation.
