AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): The first class magistrate court on Monday sends suspended CPI-M leader and “Blue Eyed” Jiten Das for 12 days Jail Custody (JC). After three days police remand, the clueless police on Monday produced the arrested CPI-M former heavy weight leader Jiten Das, the alleged master mind of Kalpana Das murder case before the court seeking Jail Custody (JC) for Jiten. While the opposition congress recently has brought a major doubt on police in Kalpana Das murder case.

Police demanded for jail custody to Jiten Das, while the govt. lawyer appealed the court not to grant the bail plea of accused Jiten Das. Jiten would be produced before the court again on May 8.

Although the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of police constituted by the state government recently is tight-lipped to the investigation of the Kalpana Das murder case, the opposition congress working president Ashish Saha has recently brought distrust to the clueless police over no development to the case could be brought by the police so far.

Shah also slamming Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Minister Manik Dey in regard of the Kalpana Das murder case recently said, “The state govt. should have to shoulder the brutal murder incidedent of CPI-M the then leader Jiten Das’ wife Kalpana Das.”

Adding to that Shaha alleged, “Deceased Kalpana Das has knocked the door of Sarkar and Manik Dey several times to draw their attention towards the brutal torture of husband Jiten Das on her.” Adding to that he also said, “Inspite of knowing the fact the state govt. has not taken any necessary step against Jiten, otherwise Kalpana would not have to be killed.”  

Saha said, “It is absolutely the negligence role of the state govt. for which the blue eyed CPI-M leader Jiten Das managed to kill her wife Kalpana Das.”

Besides, criticizing the investigation of the police on Kalpana Das murder case, opposition claimed, “Even after getting a central aid from the Tripura police has failed to implement it during investigation of cases.” So far the investigating agency of the police has not brought any relevant clues to the murder case, said Shaha.

Saha claimed, “Police is playing a ploy to hush up the case now.” Adding to that he also said that when the CPI-M had said that Kalpana Das was murdered, the police was supposed to interrogate Bijan Dhar and other ruling leaders in regard of the case.

However but it is to be mentioned here that as of now the investigating agency of the police constituted by the state govt. is yet to crack the case. According to the police source, the investigation is yet to bring some relevant clues of the murder case, as Jiten, “the cleverest man” had so far puzzled the police during the interrogation.

Besides, what made the clueless investigation more interesting is that the investigators are yet to recover the weapon and the blood soaked clothes of the victim, considered as vital evidences in the murder, as Jiten is still managing to dodge the investigators.

However, the other three accused Satindra Das, Atindra Das and Siddhartha Das was earlier send to jail custody till May 8. All the accused persons including Jiten would be produced before the court again on May 8.
