AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): With the only politically gained momentum in Tripura the CPI-M and its ruling Left front govt. readied its deck to hit the general election to TTAADC, gearing up its campaign across the state, the opposition Congress and BJP, that has absolutely failed to keep any challenge before the ruling party so far have recently claimed, “The bad governance under the Left regime in Tripura has left the ADC deprived at large”.The statement has come just ahead of the general election to TTAADC scheduled to be held on May 3, 2015.“It is very unfortunate that with the 23 years stint in power the Left front in Tripura has failed to improve the standard of living of the tribals,” Congress Chief Birajit Sinha recently stated talking to the newsmen.Birajit Sinha said, “At least 80 % of the total tribal population of the state is deprived from proper drinking water facilities and basic health services.” Crores of rupees are being spent, but the tribals are not getting anything, said Sinha.Sinha also claimed that a minimum health facilities have not yet reached to the ADC areas of the state, as a result several people are suffering from various borne diseases.

He also claimed that ADC chief supposed to have ruled the ADC separately after under the regime of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi the ADC has become autonomous body, but the Left front govt. here in Tripura managed to clear its path to rule the tribal people of the state, depriving them at large since it has come to power in Tripura.

Whereas BJP State President Sudhindra Das Gupta alleged though the tribal council was set up about three decades ago, tribals living in the council areas remained backward and poverty stricken due to bad governance and added, the ruling CPM-led Left Front had governed the tribal council for long.

The TTAADC came into being in 1985 under the sixth schedule of the Constitution to safeguard economic, political and cultural interests of the tribals of the state who formed one third of the state's population. The tribal council constitutes two third area of Tripura.

However it is to be mentioned here that despite corruption, nepotism, women assault and other activities the ruling party has maintained their trendy position till date keeping eagle eye to the upcoming ADC election, whereas the other opposition political parties had failed to keep challenge against the odds of CPI-M so far.

The ruling party leaders, workers and supporters are working hard enough leaving no stones unturned to secure maximum votes in favour of their candidates and is set to ensure victory in Sonaicherri, Ratanpur, Shibpur and Manirampur ADC villages.
