AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath recently flashed back the murder incident of the then Heath Minister Bimal Sinha accusing the CPI-M and its ruling Left front govt. for acquitting the main culprits involved in murder of the then Health Minister Bimal Sinha and his brother in March 1998.''The Yusuf Commission report has not been released yet today furnishing suspicious causes by the state govt. here. The CPI-M and its Left front govt. had washed their hand from the murder incident case because they too were involved in the brutal murder of Bimal Sinha,†Nath alleged. Nath was talking to the media persons during the press conference held at Agartala Congress Bhawan.''Within a fortnight of assuming power in 1998 by, Manik Sarkar, Bimal Sinha was murdered and entire process of investigation and trial were manipulated at the behest of CPI-M party,'' Nath added.Nath also added that the process of investigation and related activities of the state government confirmed that Bimal Sinha was victim of utterance against Manik Sarkar's nomination as Chief Minister in 1998.
However Nath also pointed out ''The Yusuf Commission has already submitted the report to the state government in early 2001 and according to Enquiry Commission Act the government was legally bound to release the report within six months of the submission but after a decade it was not released furnishing suspicious causes.”
Besides, on the sideline of the issue of the Kalpana Das murder case Nath recently said “Even if detained CPI-M leader Jiten Das gets a bail from the court, will one call him innocent?” therefore the fact always remains a fact and it never gets diminished, said Nath.
