AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): With barely 18 days left for general election to Tripura Tribal Areas and Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) ADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) and Executive Member (EM) on Friday slamming recently unveiled IPFT’s manifesto said that the development of the ADC has come up with the Left front govt. in power here at the state. Calling the IPFT manifesto “A baseless manifesto” the ADC CEM Ranjit Debbarma said, “The NLFT extremist based IPFT had tried to stage a malicious campaign against the Left front govt. here through their 12 pages manifesto. This is nothing but a conspiracy against the state govt.” Speaking about the development of the ADC under the Left regime Debbarma said, “The development is under process at the ADC area with only 5% left to be done.” Adding to that he said, “At least 2500 to 3000 children from the BPL category families at the ADC area were brought under the basic education system during 2010-15.” Whereas, during the 5 years the patta land was provided to at least 1500 poor families of the ADC area. Debbarma further said that a total of 4 quarters were built at the ADC area for the Group D employees and others, but the ADC had demanded for more 10 quarters at the ADC area and along with additional 7 quarters for the high officials.

However, later coming down heavily on the IPFT manifesto on Friday Debbarma further said, “During the year 2000 the extremists at the ADC area has brought a major disturbances in the state with a group of militants made a raj at the ADC area.” He also said, “During that time when the ADC was under the IPFT and its extremists a large number of kidnapping was reported from the ADC area leaving the tribals at the ADC under terror.”

Besides, talking on the issue of the “Twipra land” Debbarma alleged that people in the state has already understood the dangerous move of the IPFT due to which maximum number of IPFT supporters had remained back track from further supporting the IPFT, which is absolutely extremists based political party, said Debbarma.

Whereas, talking to the media persons on Friday at CPI-M party headquarter ADC EM Radhacharan Debbarma said, “The opposition comprising of BJP, Congress, INPT and IPFT had hold an issue of anti-people policy to fight the ADC election this year.” Adding to it he further said, “The communist always move forward to fight against such issues of the opposition.”

Debbarma also said that the manifesto of IPFT is no relevant to the developmental spree of the Left front govt. “the manifesto if the IPFT cleared that the party is suffering from heavy depression,” claimed Debbarma. He also said that the ADC development is not possible without the collaboration of State govt. and the Central govt.

ADC CEM and EM on Friday hoped that the CPI-M would win 28 seats out of 28 in the forthcoming ADC election.

However it is to be mentioned here that on Thursday the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT), tribal regional political party, released their manifesto for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections scheduled to be held on May 3. The party had announced to revise the ADC Bill for the welfare of the tribal people, if they come to the power.
