Belonia, April 13 (TIWN): With an aim to strengthen the border guarding, Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier opened its Composite Border Out Post (BOP) near Indo-Bangla border at BN Das Para under Rajnagar Block on Monday.
Border Security Force (BSF) DIG B S Tolia inaugurated the Composite Border Out Post (BOP). Addressing in the inaugural ceremony DIG B S Tolia said that “Our effort is to provide best of facilities to our jawans and now work will start to upgrade other BOP’s along the border”. The composite BOP has facilities such as office block, barrack, dining hall, security infrastructure and other needed facilities.
With the construction of these BOPs, the troops will get proper accommodation besides these will help in better border management. He informed that the existing old pattern BOPs were also to be upgraded to the level of composite BOPs in phased manner, he added.
“Most of the patches out of 856 km have been completed. Bangladesh government has given its nod for it as work in some of the patches was stalled due to objection”, he mentioned.
Around 162 km of the Indo-Bangla border barbed fencing could not be constructed due to riverines, settlement and rough terrain. He claimed that terrorist have no longer have any influence in the state and BSF jawans are on alert along the international border.
