Agartala, April 13 (TIWN):-School Students attendance is very poor in Tripura 63% in Primary level and Secondary level it is 69% though Tripura achieved more than 95% in literacy. The state government, specially the department of school education, is not concerned over “very low” attendance in schools across the state.

Attendance of students are coming down to 40% in Rural and hilly areas also coming down. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is concerned about infrastructure for school education in Tripura and  least interested in optimum possible output. Moreover teaching quality is also coming down.

Nowadays students are less interested to attend classes.

Dull , conventional method of teaching is not always the root. There are always some very popular efficient teachers whose classes are eagerly looked forward to by the students. In that case too one may find truant school students . Only communicating with their guardians and local influential SMC has so far failed to draw them to the school. They can not be punished or even detained . Even with the best intention teachers often find themselves helpless.
