KHOWAI, April 12 (TIWN): The booklet of model village panchayat revealed corruption by spending fund in the name of electrification and Bidyutkarn at Khowai sub-division.

According to sources, Madhya Ganki ideal Panchayat is one of the 25 villages where cost of electrification showed under two heads. Meanwhile, Block Congress Secretary revealed the information in front of media by knowing the fact through RTI.

He said that expenditure Rs.1,25,720 was shown for repairing Bichitra Community Hall in 2012 - 13 Financial Year.

On the other hand expenditure of Rs.1, 25,000 was shown for repair of same community hall in 2013-14 Financial Year. Block Secretary of Congress alleged that entire amount of repair has siphoned off.

At the same time expenditure of Bidyutikaran for Bichitra Community was shown Rs. 1,50,000 in 2012-13. Similarly cost of electrification for same community hall was shown 1.50,000 for the same community hall in 2013-14 Financial Year. Similarly cost of repairing a road Rs.1.31,563 shown two times at separate page of the booklet . The Block Congress Secretary Samir Das and president Pranab Biswas demanded investigation of the expenses to seek out theft in the panchayat.
