Udaipur,Chandrapur, April 7(TIWN):Heavy rain washed away the hopes of poor villagers of Chandrapur, Udaipur and left many farmers’ cultivating land damaged. The agricultural fields have gone under water. Many huts, shops and trees (including rubber garden) has been collapsed.
TIWN correspondent visited Chandrapur Village, where the poor farmers were found busy in collecting few left over vegetables as tomato, pumpkin, potato etc which had to be rescued from being rotten.
While talking to TIWN correspondent one of the farmer said that they did not have any idea that such a heavy rainy season can lead during the month of March. Now half of the vegetables have already been damaged and they are collecting the vegetables which are not yet rotten. ‘But the market price would be totally in down’, he added.

Moreover, the rain has not only caused huge damages to agricultural lands but there were storms which brought huge losses to the villagers by destroying many of their houses, shops and huts etc. According to the villagers, this is though not can be called totally an unseasonal rain, but it’s not a season for such excessive rains and storms.

As a result the poor villagers are helpless and instead of profits they are going through huge losses. The Panchayat has been requested to help them in their bad times.
