KHOWAI, April 4 (TIWN): In the so called golden era of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar another misappropriation of Rs. 25 crore came into limelight under various centrally sponsored schemes at Khowai.Interacting with the media persons at Khowai congress bhavan on Thursday congress youth leader Samir Das said that the state government had looted Rs. 25 crore from various centrally sponsored schemes in Khowai . The schemes are KSSY, MGNREGA etc.

He further alleged that all the CPI (M) supporters are getting the facilities under Krishi Shramik Samajik Suraksha Yojana and all the congress supporters are deprived from the scheme.

Only more than Rs. 1 crore has been looted from MGNREGA scheme, he mentioned.

When the block congress delegation went to the RD Department to enquire about issue the RD department official did not threaten the congress delegation and told them to go away, he mentioned.

CPIM led state government is looting the fund provided by the central government.  He alleged that the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is favoring all the ongoing scams of the state similarly he also failed to protect the lives and properties of the women of the state. The CPIM government is unwilling to act against the scam, Das added.

He further lashed out at the state government for wrong policies and misgovernance, stating that CPIM government has completely failed to check rise in prices of essential commodities. At present from minister to CPIM party workers remain deep necked in corruption, he mentioned. He criticized the CPIM government over issues of spurious drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees during the agitation.

He also criticized the tightlipped gesture of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar over the increasing crimes and vowed to intensify party’s agitation across the state. He also urged the public to condemn the role of Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio.

The uninterrupted 22 year stint in power seems to have taken a toll on the financial transparency of the Left Front administration in Tripura. Corruption in implementation of rural development schemes continues unabated. There is a state government of Tripura eats up all the money which comes from the central government for development, he alleged.

The state government deep necked in corruption and CPIM is not the Government for the people. The Left Front do not care about peoples and there problems, they do not settle issues. He also criticizes the Left Front Government’s alternative policies and said that those are against common people.
