UDAIPUR, April 3 (TIWN): Funds are allotted in the name of various Anganwadi centers but the educational environments of most of the Anganwadies here are lifeless, dull and just going on without any student.

Such an Anganwadi centre is Khumpuilong Anganwadi Center. TIWN correspondent visited this Anganwadi center on April 1 at 8.00 am. but surprisingly not a single teacher or any student could be found there, whether the school time was from 7.00am.

correspondent visited that school and met three women workers sitting on the courtyard. Talking to TIWN correspondent they said that ‘‘today not a single child came from the village too. Here hardly parents come and give their children to us, if they are busy and unable to manage the child, but not for the purpose of study.

’’Parents here are unwilling to send their children to Anganwadi centers. They send their children to various private nursery schools. Question comes out: Why the government institutions are unreliable to the parents?

Lots of trainings are giving to the Anganwadi teachers and moneys are fluently investing for these centers’ development. ‘’Only one thing is profitable out of these Anganwadi centers that the free rice are coming in the name of these Anganwadi centers which the workers can sell or take to their home’’, said a local habitant of Khumpuilong.
