KHOWAI, April 2 (TIWN): Police managed to detain at least three men along with arms and ammunitions from Khowai on today early morning 4am in wake of the general election to Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) declared to be held on May 3. However the three were found to be involved with the TSR murder case incident occurred on March 12 at Killa under South District. Besides, the other two accused persons who were earlier arrested on the case are behind the bar now. They will be produced before the court again on April 8 after their 14 days jail custody. Acting on a tip off Khowai SDPO Jyotishmoy Das Choudhuri along with his police squad on wee hours at 4am today detained three persons from Belsang Chibuk Khar village under Khowai Police Station. Police also recovered one 9 mm pistol and 3 round live cartridges from the detained persons. They were identified as Nalesh Debbarma (35) a TSR jawan of 10th Battalion resident of Khowai Baijalbari, Sanjit Debbarma (30) and another Sanjit Debbarma (38) of the same area. However later the three were found to be involved to the incident occurred at Killa jungle area under South District of the state where TSR jawan Manik Roy was found shot dead. This has now triggered resentment among the locals of Khowai and other parts of the rural area as the election to ADC is drawing near.

According to the police amongst the three Nalesh Debbarma, who also be a TSR Jawan of 10^th Battalion by profession was found to have murder the TSR jawan Manik Roy. While another accused person Rajib Roy was found to be the mastermind behind the incident. Earlier the Killa Police reveled that one TSR Jawan was helped to murder Manik Roy.   

It is worthy to be mentioned here that TSR Jawan Manik Roy (42), S/O- Khirod Mohan Roy of Amtali, Agartala was found dead on the main road leading to Gungrai to Atharobhola. He was working in TSR 10BN. He was shot twice on the back of his head and after some time local people saw the dead body lying on the road and informed the Killa police station. Two blank shells of 9mm revolver were also found from the spot. In the sensational murder case of TSR jawan Manik Roy earlier on March 26 the CJM Court sent the two accused Banani Sarkar (27) wife of Late Manik Roy and Rajib Roy (30) to 14 days jail custody. The duo will be produced before the court again on April 8.

Besides, in the wake of ADC election drawing near here at the state it is also worthy to be mentioned here that a couple of days back a wire fencing along the Indo-Bangla bordering areas under Khowai sub division was found cut. The police get informed that a group of banned NLFT surrendered militants held meeting at the concerned area. Therefore this might have brought another sensational issue with the NLFT militant camping at neighbouring country Bangladesh suspected to have entered here at the state to create terror activities during the ADC election.  However, the police failed to trace the groups involved to cut the wire fencing at the bordering areas of the state.
