AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): With at least one IFS officer and 12 IAS officers transferred by the Tripura Govt. brought a major reshuffle in its administration. The state govt. on its major reshuffle Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Forests and Animal Resources, Development Departments is transferred and posted as Director General, State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development, A.D Nagar, Agartala.

 On repatriation from Central deputation, Dr. G.S.G Ayyangar IAS (MT: 1987) is posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Tripura. On assumption, Dr. Ayyangar will hold the charges of Agriculture, Rural Development (excluding Panchayats) and Animal Resources, Development Departments, until further order.

Shri Lok Ranjan, IAS (MT:1989), Principal Secretary , Government of Tripura, Public Works (including DWS), ICAT (Tourism), Urban Development Department with additional charges of Member, Sales Tax Tribunal and VAT Tribunal is relieved from the charge of ICAT (Tourism Department).

Shri Barun Kumar Sahu, IAS (MT: 1992) , Secretary , Government of Tripura, Home(Jail), GA (Political), GA (SA) Departments with additional charge of Director, SIPARD will also hold the charges of Scheduled Castes Welfare and ICAT (Tourism), Departments, in addition. He is relieved from the Additional Charge of Director, SIPARD.

Shri Laihila Darlong, IAS (MT: 1996), Secretary, Government of Tripura, Tribal Welfare (including TRP and PTG), Labour and GA (Printing and Stationery Departments)  is relieved from the charges of Tribal Welfare (including TRP and PTG),  and GA (Printing and Stationery Departments)

Shri Santanu Das, IAS (Retd.), Secretary, Government of Tripura, Co-operation, ICAT (excluding Tourism) Departments with additional charge of Secretary to Governor, Tripura will also hold the charge of Education (Higher) Department. In addition, He is relieved from the charge of Co-operation Department.

Shri Samarjit Bhowmik, IAS (MT: 1997), Secretary, Government of Tripura, education (Youth Affairs and Sports), Education (Higher), Transport, Scheduled Castes and OBC Welfare and Minorities, Welfare Departments is relieved from the charges of Education (Higher), Scheduled Castes Welfare and OBC Welfare Departments.

Shri Puneet Agarwal, IAS (MT: 1998), Secretary, Government of Tripura, Finance, Home (Fire service), Industries and Commerce (Information Technology) and Revenue (including Relief Rehabilitation and Disaster Management) Departments is relieved from the charge of Home (Fire Service) department.

Shri Jyotishlal Debbarma, IAS (MT: 1999), Director, GA (Printing and Stationery) and Ex-Officio, Special Secretary is transferred and posted as Special Secretary to Govt. On assumption he will hold the independent charge of (Printing and Stationery Department). He will also hold the charge of Director, GA (Printing and Stationery), in addition.

Shri Karuna Nidhan Debbarma, IAS (MT: 1999), Special Secretary, Government of Tripura, Labour Department with additional charge of Director TRP and PTG and Kokborok language will hold the independent charge of Tribal Welfare (TRP and PTG) Department. He will also hold the charge of Director, TRP and PTG and Kokborok Language. In addition, He is relieved from the charge of Labour Department.

Shri Tushar Kanti Chakma, IAS (MT: 1999), Director, Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture and Industries and Commerce and Ex-Officio Special Secretary with additional charge of Managing Director, THHDC Ltd. Is transferred and posted as Special Secretary to Govt. On assumption, He will hold the independent charge of Home (Fire Service) Department. He will also hold the charges of Director, Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture and Managing Director, THHDC, Ltd, in addition.

Shri Krishna Dulal Choudhury, IAS (MT: 2000), Inspector General of prisons and Ex-Officio , Special Secretary ,Home (Jail) Department with additional charge of Registrar of Co-operative Societies is transferred and posted as special Secretary to Govt. on assumption, He will hold the independent charge of o-operation Department. He will also hold the charges of Inspector General of prisons and Registrar of Co-operative Societies.

Smt. Nabanita Roy, IAS (MT: 2000), Special secretary, Agartala is transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Government of Tripura. On assumption she will hold the independent charge of OBC Welfare Department.
