AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): With the opposition Congress demanding for the CBI interrogation to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Chit fund issue here at the state, the ruling CPI (M) embarking with it claimed that the Congress here is trying to ruin the “clean image” of CM Manik Sarkar by adding his name with different issues including chit fund issue and others. Talking to the reporters at the party headquarter recently the CPI (M) state secretary Bijan Dhar said that there is no use of a separate demand for CBI enquiry to the NBFC companies here that has looted a crores of money from the depositors, because the state govt. here had already demanded for it and also sent the lists of the chit fund companies with the CBI earlier, Dhar said.It is mentionable here that the CLP leader Sudip Roy Barman on March 27 declared to knock the door of Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon to seek his intervention for CBI probe into the chit fund scam across the state. Barman also demanded for a CBI interrogation to Manik Sarkar. However but on the very day making a counter attack to the opposition congress here at the party headquarter the CPI (M) state secretary Bijan Dhar said that the congress is simply making the water dirty by staging a malicious campaign against the state govt. here.

Dhar stated, “It is because of the developmental spree of the state govt. here that the Left front govt. has been gaining momentum with majority votes of the people of the state”.

Adding to that Dhar also said that demanding for a CBI probe of a clean imaged Manik Sarkar and making the water dirty is absolutely not a political issue. “The role of the opposition congress here at this stage was supposed to raise a voice against the negative role of the central govt. towards the state Tripura, because the central govt. has been ignoring the state at large from getting central benefits and facilities.”

Hence, Bijan Dhar made an appeal to the voters to make all the CPI (M) candidates victorious by even greater margins than last time, so that they can voice the demands of the common people of the state.

However, later giving a verbal warning, he further said, “a section of supporters of other political parties are committing different harmful activities across the state. Therefore this has no relation with the democracy here at the state.”
