AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Stepping up Party’s ADC election campaign the CPI (M) today released the candidate lists with six new faces brought this year to fight ADC election in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). However releasing the candidate lists today CPI (M) State Secretary Bijan Dhar appealed the ADC voters to maintain peace and harmony at the ADC areas especially during the election. Besides, leaving no stone unturned the CPI (M) today strongly opposed the demand of the “Twipra land”, with Dhar alleged that a tribal-based party is trying to incite people along the communal lines ahead of the TTAADC election drawing near. He mentioned in his statement, “The demand for a separate state carved out of Tripura was irrelevant. A section of tribal people were misguided by the slogan”. He termed the slogan as conspiracy to vitiate the unity and integrity between tribal and nontribal people in the state.

CPI (M) State Secretary Bijan Dhar today releasing the candidates lists said that the CPI (M) will fight for 25 ADC seats while the CPI – 1, RSP – 1 and AIFB for 1. The 2015 candidate lists of the CPI (M) has brought 3 female candidates and 6 new faces to battled the election.

Talking to the reporters here at the party headquarter Dhar said that the demand for a separate state carved out of Tripura was "irrelevant" as the interests of the tribals were well protected and they would always remain so under the Left Front government. Besides, a section of political party here at the state who is trying to create a communal tension ahead of the ADC poll drawing near have had already lost the previous election here at the state. Therefore there is no place left here for those political parties who are keeping eye on the ADC election now, Dhar alleged. "We will leave no stone unturned to resist this divisive demand," he told reporters here today.

Later hitting hard on the opposition parties Dhar said that a section of opposition parties here at the state had influenced a large group of indigenous youths and formed insurgency group to diminish peace from the state. Later on the sideline of overall development issues here in Tripura, Dhar claimed that the Left front govt. is working hard to meet the target of providing all civic amenities to the people residing in the ADC areas.

However, it is mentionable here that major political parties in the state have opposed the demand for a separate state by carving out Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), which was raised in the aftermath of the announcement on Telangana.
