UDAIPUR / AMARPUR, Duluma, March 24 (TIWN): After passing of six months finally the Crime Investigation Department (CID) Tripura met the family members of late Kamal Chandra Debnath who was a TSR jawan of the 5th battalion, was brutally murdered at Manjoy Para TSR camp in Raiyashabari. TSR Jawan Kamal Chandra Debnath(32), S/O Sushil Debnath was killed brutally by a gun shot from close range on September 9, 2014 , 4pm who has been in service since 2002. His dead body was found on a tila (a small hill) not far away from Manjoy Para TSR camp’ where he was posted. But mysteriously no one from Kamal Chandra Debnath’s own camp showed interest either for his dead body or later for any kind of investigation. Family members of the victim went to the door of Chief Minister also, but they couldn’t get any justice. On 18th February,2015, Justice Subhashish Talapatra of High Court served a notice for ‘not doing’ enough investigations in this case, to Prabir Majumder(TSR Commandant), Satyajit Das(Asst. Commandant) and Nityanada Sarkar(OC, Raishyabari P.S).
According to the complaint of Kamal Chandra Debnath’s family members before few months of his death there had been regular threatening by his officers and co-workers which he divulged with his family many times. After few months, Kamal Chandra Debnath’s dead body was found at 4 pm on Sept 9, 2014 , he was shot from close range.
The family members, of late Kamal Chandra Debnath has registered a case against five other TSR jawans of the same battalion namely Sahajad, Goutam Das, Linkon Saha, Sanjoy and Shimal Saha in Tripura High Court on January 10th.
The family members alleged that Kamal Chandra Debnath was brutally murdered by Sahajad, Goutam Das, Linkon Saha, Sanjoy and Shimal Saha.
Hence now, this case has been taken into the process of CID investigation under Rabindra Kumar Bhowmik (DSP,Maharani) and 4 other members, who went to the house of Kamal Chandra Debnath on March 23. Kamal Chandra Debnath’s family members are eagerly waiting for the proper justice of the victim.
