Khowai/Agartala, March 17 (TIWN): “Wearing white dresses and coming to Congress Bhawan for giving speech would yield nothing but we should find out the reasons as why the veteran leaders left the part and are joining BJP and other political parties”, said the six Congress block presidents towards PCC president Birjit Sinha when he was attending a felicitation programme at Khowai Congress Bhawan, on Monday.

Teliamura district Congress has organized the programme. “Very recently I have assumed the charge and I need time to take our left leaders and MLAs back and I ensure you all that I would take every necessary measure to strengthen the party”, said Mr.Sinha.

Meanwhile, Assam government’s minister Chandan Sarkar was felicitated at Congress Bhawan here in Agartala. President Birjit Sinha and MLA Gopal Roy were present in the programme. Later on, the minister talked to the Congress activists and leaders. “Mr.Sarkar always extends his helping hand towards any work of Tripura Congress and we hope that in future too whenever we need him he would stand by us”
