AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): The ongoing Higher Secondary examination and Madrasa Fazil examination conducted by Tripura Board of Secondary Examination (TBSE) has expelled two candidates so far, with rest of examination passed off peacefully. During the first day of the examination on first language subject one candidate was expelled for cheating at the time of examination.

The examination was conducted at Halahali examination center on March 2. While on March 12 another candidate was expelled from Bishramganj examination center. The examination was conducted on political Science subject. However but most interestingly this year no major number of candidates were reported to be expelled so far whereas previous year a huge number of candidates were reported expelled. The official of the TBSE said that this year a strict invigilation of the teachers and the school authority has resulted to the success.

This year a total of 54 centers and sub-centers are conducting the board examinations across the state. Besides, up-till this year the candidates are allowed to appear for the examination conducting on old syllabus, because from the year 2016 the candidates will have to appear for the board examination on new syllabus. However this year the number of candidates has risen as compared to the previous year, with the tribals and the non-tribals. It is to be mentioned here that during the year 2014 50 Madhyamik examination candidates have been reported for suspected misconduct and malpractice while writing their papers. This was the first time that so many candidates have been reported against in the board exams since it was launched in 1976. All the 50 candidates appeared for the exam from NGO-run coaching centres in the ADC areas of the state.
