AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Unit to kick-off a movement on March 13 across the state protesting the brutal attack on the BJP workers during their membership drives that took place recently at two consecutive places. However condemning the incident BJP State President Sudhindra Das Gupta on Thrusday evening said that since after the conclusion of the 3-tier Panchayat election the CPI (M) has kick started their terror activities across the state to divert the people of the state from joining the BJP. A total of 21 have been injured during the recent brutal attack on the BJP workers while one Woman was burnt to death on March 8, said Das Gupta on Thrusday addressing the media persons here at the BJP headquarter.
Talking to the reporters at the BJP party office the BJP State President Sudhindra Das Gupta condemned the brutal attack incident that took place recently. He said that yet after the occurrence of such unwanted incidents consecutively by the CPI (M) cadres, the police have not taken any legal steps against the culprits involved with the incident. However, adding to that he said that the BJP will move for a protest movement on March 13 across the state, and if any further incident occurs in future than the BJP will move for mass protest across the state.
Highlighting the two incidents that took place at Belonia on March 10 and Sabroom on March 11, where as many as BJP workers were brutally attacked by the CPI (M) cadres, Das Gupta today said that since after the conclusion of the 3-tier Panchayat election the CPI (M) cadres has started their terror like activities across the state with an intension to knock down the BJP from the state. Adding to that he said, “Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his CPI (M) party will come to know the BJP outcome during the 2018 assembly election, when the BJP will sit in power at the state.” Besides, in regard of the ADC election Das Gupta said that the BJP keeps hope sweeping the 28 seats in ADC election knocking down the CPI (M).
Das Gupta said that on March 7 one Shilpi Shil of Udaipur Fulkumari village was set fire by one CPI (M) cadre while on the next day on March 8, the women died. A total of 300 BJP workers were injured by the CPI (M) cadres since after the conclusion of 3-tier Panchayat election.
Das Gupta also said that on March 19 the BJP will attend the North East meeting that will be chaired by the Union Home Minister and other Ministers. Development of Tripura will be taken up for the discussion during the meeting, said Das Gupta.
