Kailasahar, March 11 (TIWN): Kailasahar Rin Banchita Bekar Mancha on Wednesday illegally performed Bank Strike at Kailasahar Gramin Bank, TillaBazar Branch. The organizers of the Mancha told that they had several times noticed their point of demands to the authorities, but they turned a deaf ear to the demands.
Being fed up of this, they today locked the front gate of bank and issued a play card of bank strike. While contacting with the Manager, he informed that this is illegal strike. Because, naturally the strike was observed by the employees of bank. Police, though present at the situation, plays no role as no order was issued.
The primary demands of the Mancha are to ensure loan to the poor people in Swabalamban and other schemes. It is to be mentioned here that, nearly 500 people, live in this areas. Tripura Gramin Bank is the only source of storing their money safely. That’s why they also press the demand of setting up of Co-operative Bank and another Gramin Bank. While talking about the 27 lakh rupees looted from the bank, they told that it was people’s money. So, only by expelling the cashier is not the permanent solution of the problem. Cases should be lodged up.
