Agartala, March 4 (TIWN): Terming the Rail budget and general budget recently tabled by the central government as ‘anti-people budget’, Tripura SC Samannay Samity staged demonstration in front of Aksahbani Bhavan in Agartala here today.

Sadar divisional secretary of Tripura SC Samannay Samity- Madhab Majumder alleged that at the time when the central government is planning for railway privatization move, no importance was given to fulfilling over 3 lacks vacant posts of railway department in the rail budget tabled by BJP government in Centre.

During the demonstration, he further alleged that the central government curtailed to allocating funds under education sector in the general budget. While development is not possible without extending education system, the central government maintained to curtail the funds under education sector, he added.

According to the demonstrators, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed government in Centre by promising fake assurance of ‘Acche Din’ to the people of the country. Since BJP’s inception in Centre, the people of the country are experiencing bad days instead of getting Acche Din, they said.

During the agitation in protest central government’s budget, over 50 members of the samity has participated and sounded rough terming the budget as anti-people budget.
