KAMALPUR, FEB. 27, (TIWN): Recently the random use of ‘Press’ sticker in the vehicles by non-journalists increased alarmingly in the subdivision. Several youths and persons grow a habit of using the sticker in their vehicles to ply at will and also for doing different anti-social activities. Mysteriously, the police never adopted any measure against such misuse. In this context, the Kamalpur Press Club adopted a resolution against such illegal use.
Supriyo Datta, the Secretary of Kamalpur Press Club urged cordial assistance from all the concerned to protest against such effort and to check the identity of the person claiming themselves as journalists. He further added that, writers and editors of literary magazines other than news-literary ones should not be treated as journalists.
