Agartala, February 27 (TIWN): With the joint initiative of Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) department, Gomati Zilla Parishad and Matabari block, two-day long Jal Utsav is slated to be start at Gomati Mukta Mancha in north Maharani Panchayat ground from Saturday.

 MLA Madhab Saha would inaugurate the Utsav while president of Agri Standing Committee of Gomati Zilla Parishad- Md. Wazuddin Ahmed would grace the inaugural session as chief guest.

The inaugural ceremony of two-day long Jal Utsav will be presided over by the chairperson of Matabari Pamchayat Samity- Rekharani Majumder while District Magistrate (DM) and Collector, Gomati- Sonal Goyel and Block Development Officer (BDO), Matabari RD block- Subrata Chakraborty would attend the programme as special guests.

The two-day long Jal Utsav will be concluded on March 01. On the closing ceremony, Sabhadipati of Gomati Zilla Parishad- Sunity Saha will be present as chief guest while the function will be presided over by the chairperson of Matabari Pamchayat Samity- Rekharani Majumder.

Saha Sabhadipati of Gomati Zilla Parishad- Dinbandhu Das and president of Matabari Agri Standing Committee, Matabari Panchayat Samity- Md. Mahidul Islam would grace the dais as special guests while Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Udaipur- Ajit Ddebnath and member of Matabari Panchayat Samity- Roy Satyajit Bhowmik would attend the programme as guests of honour.
