Agartala, February 26 (TIWN): Calling for a united fight against CPI-M by Congress in the upcoming TTAADC election, general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) - V Narayanswami motivated the Congress leaders to strengthen the poll campaign for securing maximum seats in upcoming ADC polls.
Speaking in a workers meeting at Congress Bhavan, Narayanswami said, “Crores of central funds meant for welfare of the needy people of state is being diverted to the CPI-M’s party fund and pockets of party cadres generously.”
Even after a long-period ruling in TTAADC, the Left Front failed to change the face of tribal areas due to massive corruption and misappropriation of centrally sponsored funds, said Narayanswami.
“To make a clean sweep in the coming ADC election and to win the minds of people, the leaders of Congress need to work hard in grass root level”, said Narayanswami.
Before leaving the state, Narayanswami further urged the Congress leaders to work in an anti-lobbyism atmosphere by avoiding any kind of internal wars to hit the best in the forthcoming ADC election.
President of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) - Birajit Sinha, Congress MLA of Assam- Bhopen Borah, TPCC working presidents- Ashis Saha, Pradyut Kishore Debbarman, MLA Gopal Roy along with many other Congress leaders and supporters have attended the meeting.
