TIWN SWOT analysis on Narayanswami visit: Political analysts view as strong backing for Birjit: Is the visit a psychological phenomenon and nothing else for near extinct PCC ?

AGARTALA, February 25 (TIWN): The management concept ‘Optimum Utilisation of Available Resource’ seems to be the need of the hour for the nation’s normative political party Congress. Defeat after defeat at the parliament poll with subsequent humiliating performances in the recent assembly polls across the nation has left the family dynasty based led All India Congress Committee (AICC) in a state where its survival is at stake. Meanwhile, while talking to TIWN, a political analyst is of opinion that Swami’s visit is only to make the ground for new PCC Chief strong and the PCC Chief wants to showcase that he is working hard to turnaround the party and his acceptance is well enough at the centre and in state. “See .. .. as its observed that the (new President) does not share a good terms with the former Presidents and the current Leader of Opposition (LoP), he (Birjit Sinha) wants to justify his stand and increase his stake among the AICC fraternities and here”, said the analyst.

The aforesaid management concept is evident here in the perspective of the North East (NE) state Tripura as it is relying on this humble state Tripura to keep its baton burning. And the same is substantiated by the visit of AICC’s Tripura in charge V.Narayanswammy, ahead of the state’s upcoming Autonomous District Council’s (ADC) poll. The hopeless Pradersh Congress Committee  (PCC) is living in no hope to arouse any hope for its activists and followers.

And to add insult to injuries, what a party can do when it is cornered not by its arch rival but by its own peer group and veteran members and leaders too. The intra organizational conflict of state Congress has, by now, made the people of the state realise that if a party can not exercise control and discipline within its own house how can it rule a state?

Nevertheless, the seasonal proactive attitude of the AICC, bursts out at the time of election only (this time the ADC poll) by sending its representative Swami where yearlong it maintains the approach of  “Speech is silver Silence is Gold” when senior leaders and former Presidents remain absent at the office taking ceremony of  new President.

Political news research section of TIWN has undertaken a SWOT analysis for enlightening the people of the concerned section of the state WHAT NARAYANSWAMI’S VISIT ACTUALLY MEAN?

(The SWOT is made from the PCC angle)

SèStrengths

Having isolated in the national politics left parties have no back up from centre where AICC still has a revivable influence having number of state at its command.

Couple of productive issues like crimes against women and scams can be hoped on to create an anti left sentiment in the upcoming ADC poll.

WèWeaknesses

The long and pre dominant reign of left parties for nearly two decades is impenetrable for the undisciplined Congress, at least at this moment.

The CPI (M) is well known for its invulnerable fort in the rural Tripura having in possession almost all the rural assembly constituencies.

OèOpportunities

Keeping an eye to the 2018 assembly battle, if the PCC can register a commanding performance this time, a Congress wave is most likely to usher in state.

Narayanswamy can turn the issue of according more autonomy to ADC by speaking to the common rural people into a vote bank and PCC has already done a lot regarding this issue of ADC empowerment.

TèThreats

If Congress faces an expected defeat in the ensuring ADC election, it would strike another blow in the morale of Congress activists and the track record of loss will seem to be continued and furthermore, the uprising of other parties in the state will share the anti CPI (M) votes.

Narayanswamy’s visit than will be proved as futile and the use of best arsenal will also be put in question.

According to the political researcher, the visit is nothing but a psychological phenomenon and nothing else as if they want to save the sinking PCC and/or Congress. While talking to this correspondent, he has put some light on the national circumstantial affairs of the Congress by saying: “With 44 Member of Parliaments (MPs) what they would do and during the budget session their icon Rahul Gandhi has left for the abroad… now you draw the conclusion.”

However, still the sole viable alternative of scam nurturing CPI (M) is Congress only in state as other parties are lacking not only leadership but day after day they are remaining inactive to capitalise on the issues too.

Now, if the PCC can make the most of available opportunities, it would be good for the party and thus relieve the people of the state of the prolonged tyrannous reign of the left front.
