CPIM outlays programme schedule of 4 day long 21st State Conference

Agartala, February 23 (TIWN): CPIM on Monday had briefed their 4 days long State Conference to be held from February 25th to February 28th.Party’s State Secretary Bijan Dhar informed this to media persons organized at Party’s Melarmath headquarter. However, Mr. Dhar also informed that the total strength of the party at present consists of 87697 persons.

While briefing the Media State’s Secretary told that, the Party’s 21st Conference will begin at February 25th by hoisting party’s flag at Town Hall premises where the function is organized at 1.00 a.m. After that at 2.00 pm a public gathering will be organized where CPIM All India General Secretary Prakash Karat, West Bengal leader Biman Basu, politburo member Brinda Karat, Manik Sarkar and State Secretary will deliver valuable speech. Besides that the premises of the conference were named as Comrade Anil Sarkar Nagar. The Stage, in which the conference will be held, is designated by the name of Comrade Chiita Chanda, Brajomohan Jamatia, Gopesh Debnath, Sukumar Barman, Surendra Pal and Srish Bhattacharjee.The gathering will be presided over by Politburo member Aghore Debbarma. From evening the conference will start in its rhythm.

Mr. Dhar further informed that total 578 delegates will attend the conference. Other than that 5 visitors will witness the conference. The political deliberations of the party will be briefed after the meeting held in the conference. While talking about the party’s strength, it is informed that the total strength of the party now consists of 87697. In the previous year the number is 7663020 where the percentage of women is 25.76 percent. By giving a detailed sketch, Mr. Dhar sort out that after 20th State Conference, 1399 persons had breathed their last, 707 persons were expelled and 7072 persons had not received renewal membership due to some reasons.

Further told about the Central Government’s step-motherly attitude of the Central Government in case of MGNREGA, Mr. Dhar told that they are deeply in against of it. In 2013-14 the total amount of fund allotted to MGNREGA was Rs 1300 crore, Out of these, the disbursed amount is 943 crore. In 2014-15, the total fund allotted was 1400 crore. The disbursed amount is 636crore62 lakhs.
